The Towers Elementary Camp, faithfully serving campers
for over 30 years, is in need of some attention. Recently we had
a dad drop his child off at the Towers and exclaim, “This
is great! I came to the Towers when I was kid and it looks exactly
the same!” While we were thankful for his enthusiasm, this
reality brought a sober confirmation. We need to update this Pine
Cove landmark!
We have moved forward with plans to put the Towers through a complete
overhaul resulting in duplex-style
cabins (PDF 105kb) with a central restroom, a new dining
hall to serve more campers, an extreme indoor sports facility and
many
upgrades (PDF 64kb) to better serve our campers. Once
completed, the Towers will have a storybook-like
castle theme! (PDF 105kb)
We are incredibly excited about this endeavor as the Towers serves as the starting point for many Pine Cove campers. It consistently sees the greatest number of salvations, and remains today with a waiting list of over 200 campers. Once completed, this expansion will have the ability to serve 500 more elementary campers per summer.
The new Towers will also serve as the home of our Castle Rock Day
Camp and IWS (Pine Cove’s outdoor education program), as well
as offer additional facilities during the non-summer months to minister
to youth and adults through various conferences
and retreats.
The total cost for this project is $3.5
million (PDF 64kb). Will you pray about your involvement
in this remodel and expansion? Please email development@pinecove.com
to receive detailed information about the Towers Overhaul. We would
be more than happy to meet with you to discuss this project. We
will also gladly accept your donation today: Towers
