Speaker: Michael Newman, Pastor, Author, Mission & Ministry Facilitator/Texas, Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
|
|
Michael Newman has been in pastoral ministry since 1987 and currently serves the Texas District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod as a Mission strategist, helping to start new churches and ministries to facilitate Kingdom multiplication.
He has also served churches in Texas, Minnesota, and the Chicago area. He has been active in mission outreach, writing, radio ministry, and in a variety of preaching and teaching venues.
Married for nearly 30 years to Cindy, Michael has served for more than two decades as a pastoral advisor to couples, providing relationship “sanity checks,” and helping to prepare couples for marriage.
Michael is a 1983 graduate of Concordia University, Ann Arbor, Michigan, majoring in Philosophy and Biblical Languages. He received his Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri in 1987.
He is the author of several books including Struggle Well and There is No God, Is There?. He has also published many Bible study materials and articles.
Michael and Cindy are proud parents of two grown daughters and have been blessed with a beautiful granddaughter.
When not preaching and teaching, you might catch him hanging out with his family, running a few miles on the Texas roads, risking his life doing yard work, or enjoying a good book.
