Towers Cabins
The Towers Elementary Camp, faithfully serving campers for over 30 years, was in need of some serious attention. A few years ago we had a dad drop his child off at the Towers and exclaim, “This is great! I came to the Towers when I was a kid and it looks exactly the same!” While we were thankful for his enthusiasm, this reality brought a sober confirmation. We needed to update this Pine Cove landmark!
In 2007, we began an extreme camp makeover at the Towers, building new facilities designed in a storybook castle-style theme. We have already completed the construction of a new dining hall, 13 duplex-style cabins, a huge treehouse, and an open-air sport court for our daycamp program. We have also made substantial improvements to our infrastructure and enlarged the lagoon in the center of camp. We are now raising funds to complete the five remaining duplex-style cabins (PDF 105kb).
We are incredibly excited about finishing this endeavor because the Towers serves as the starting point for many Pine Cove campers and consistently sees the greatest number of salvations in the past years. The total cost for this project $500,000.
The new Towers also serves as the home of our Castle Rock Day Camp and Heights Day Camp (partnered with the Boys & Girls Club). Additionally the facilities are used during the non-summer months to minister to youth and adults through various conferences and retreats.
Will you pray about your involvement in the completion of this makeover? Please email development@pinecove.com to receive detailed information about the Towers Cabins. We would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss this project. We will also gladly accept your donation today: donate now.
