Outback Ambassador FAQ |
|
What is a Pine Cove Ambassador? |
|
Ambassadors are people who are fans of Pine Cove’s
ministry and want to share it with their friends and family so
that their children can attend one of our Youth Camps. |
|
How and what does an Ambassador share about Pine
Cove? |
|
Ambassadors can share in any way they feel the
most comfortable and are the most effective. Personal experiences from
your time at camp are great to share. |
|
What is expected of me if I become an Ambassador? |
|
We want you to genuinely share those special moments
that you have experienced while at camp. That’s it! Everyone
has a sphere of influence and it is within that sphere that we want
you to operate. We also understand that everyone
has unique gifts, talents, and comfort levels. Therefore, we
will work with you to develop a plan that will fit you best. |
|
What resources will I have available to me? |
|
The Marketing Department will be in regular contact
to provide direction or answer questions as needed. In addition,
we will help you by offering you print material, DVD’s, and
other information packaged in an Ambassador Kit. The material
in the kits will allow you to show your friends and family what camp
at Pine Cove is all about. We will also be available to come and
speak to your small group, school, church, or any other gathering
you would like to invite us to. Tours of the facilities are
also available upon request. Basically, we will do whatever
we need to assist you. |
|
What grades can attend Pine Cove’s Youth
Camps? |
|
Towers: entering grades 2-5
Outback: entering grades 3-7
Ranch: entering grades 6-7
Timbers: entering grades 8-9
Shores: entering grades 10-12
|
|
Am I expected to call or talk to a certain number
of people? |
|
No. Because we want you to work within your
sphere of influence, the number of people will vary from person to
person. However, we do hope that you will continually look
for, think about, and pray through new families that you could talk
to. Examples would be people you know from church, school,
sports teams, etc. We also suggest talking to your neighbors and
relatives. |
|
Why are you creating an Ambassador program? |
|
Experience tells us that most people sign up for
camp because someone they know told them about it. Think about
how you decided to attend Pine Cove. Most likely it
was because someone you know told you what a great experience they
had. With the addition of our two newest Youth Camps, the Outback
near Columbus, TX and the Timbers near Tyler, TX, the help of our
Ambassadors is needed more than ever! |
|
How much free time do the students have? |
|
There really is not any “free time” throughout
the day. Campers follow a daily schedule and rotate to activities
with their counselor. |
|
Are campers always supervised? |
|
Absolutely, they are. If they are not with
their counselor, they are with a Senior Counselor, or the staff
running a specific activity. |
|
Are boys' and girls' cabins together? |
|
Boys' and girls' cabins are on separate sides of camp. We
never put a cabin of girls next to a cabin of boys.
