Free Family Day! |
|
Outback is opening this summer and we want to celebrate! Pine Cove and KSBJ Special Events are teaming to host the Free Family Day at Pine Cove Outback. Come tour the new camp and enjoy an afternoon of music, fresh air, and family fun. There will be plenty of free food and drinks. You and your kids will enjoy our huge water slide, pony rides, canoeing, family games, and much more. Throughout the event we will be giving tours of our brand new youth camp, Pine Cove Outback. Check out the cabins, meet our staff, and find out why Outback is the place to be this summer. Bring a blanket to spread out on the grass for a great outdoor concert by Anthony Evans and Rachael Lampa. And of course, it's all free!

Anthony "Falling Star" Evans |
|
|
|
Growing up singing, Anthony’s musical career took a serious turn after
college when he began a two-year stint as a vocalist with TRUTH. He then
toured for four years as a vocalist for good friend and gospel music
sensation Kirk Franklin. His performances with Kirk, including “The Tonight
Show with Jay Leno,” “Soul Train,” and appearances on the Grammy, Stellar
and Dove Award telecasts have become invaluable learning experiences.
Anthony’s other musical influences vary from Amy Grant, Steven Curtis
Chapman and Michael W. Smith to Commissioned, Andre' Crouch and The Winans.
For the past four years Anthony has been a solo artist; writing, arranging,
and singing all around the globe. He has recorded 3 albums: “Even More”,
“Letting Go”, and most recently, “The Bridge”. All three were written at
times in his life when Anthony was trying to understand the depth of God’s
love. As the message of “The Bridge” conveys, Anthony is content to worship
as God leads him on this incredible journey.
Anthony currently resides in Franklin, Tennessee. He spends most of his
free time with his close friends or on a local farm with his horses. |

Rachael Lampa |
|
|
|
There comes a point in every artist's life when they need to go beyond
simply scratching the surface and truly invest every ounce of their soul in
the creative process. For the first time in the 19-year-old singer's
career, Lampa's taken to the songwriting circuit where she's co-penned each
of her new disc's eleven tracks. It's the latest inventive chapter of a
career that's already sold over 600,000 CDs between 2002's Kaleidoscope and
the 2000 debut Live For You (which have subsequently spawned the number one
singles "Blessed," "Shaken," "God Loves You" and "Live For You").
Being in the same shoes as the majority of her audience also gives Lampa a
sense of genuineness and authenticity when addressing a wide range of issues
outside her immediate scope. Beyond just the primary focus of God's
provision, Lampa dives into issues ranging from the effect of divorce on
young people to hopelessness and suicide to losing one's identity in favor
of following the crowd. All of those have hit close to Rachael's heart, as
they've affected family and friends, while the examination of such weighty
subjects is sure to provide solace to all those suffering.
"I'm so excited to get out there and sing these songs and share this part of
my heart," Lampa confirms. "I want people to see that this is just a
snapshot of my life and I just happened to be making a record at this time.
I feel that it is my call to share what I have learned and experienced and
how God has revealed himself in all of it. |
