Shawn "El Guapo" Welch
Shawn first became acquainted with Pine Cove in the summer of 2001 where he served as a Counselor. Following that summer he worked four more years on the summer staff team as a Senior Counselor, Program Director, and Senior Program Director. After graduating from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in December of 2005, Shawn began working full time for Pine Cove as the Ranch Conference Director. Prior to working at Pine Cove, he served as a Youth Pastor for Barnett Springs Baptist Church in Ruston, LA. Shawn’s heart is to lead others in knowing that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Timbers Summer Staff

Around here we have a saying that "Our staff is our program." By this we mean that we place a high standard on whom we hire for our summer staff position. The activities at camp are fun, the skits will make you laugh, and the music is loud, but it is the staff that will encourage, invest in, and model Jesus for your child. We interview thousands of college students to hire just a few hundred. Our screening process is intense and long, but worth it! We are committed to making sure your child is cared for physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
