T.J. joined the full-time staff at Pine Cove in August of 2013 after working as a senior counselor for Camp in the City. Prior to coming to Pine Cove, T.J. worked at Lancaster Bible College directing their traveling ministry teams. T.J. was born right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to Texas in May of 2013. T.J. graduated from Lancaster Bible College with a degree in student ministry. He loves to travel whether it is in the US or around the world. He enjoys being outside playing sports, spending time with friends and family, grilling meat, Philly Cheesesteaks, and helping others grow in their walk with Christ!
Monty graduated from Dallas Baptist in 2012 with a degree in Biblical Studies. He worked on summer staff at the Ranch camp from 2009-2012 as a Counselor, Senior Counselor, and Program Director. After the summer of 2012, Monty came on full-time staff and has been here ever since. He first served as the Guest Services Coordinator at the Timbers, then as a Camp in the City Site Coordinator, and now as the Timbers Men's Director! When Monty applied to work on summer staff in 2009 he had no idea that he would still be here seven summers later. God has used the ministry of Pine Cove to radically change his life AND provide him with an incredible wife. Molly and Monty met in 2012 after both joining the full-time staff at Pine Cove, and dated for a little over a year before getting married in September 2014.
Katy began her time with Pine Cove on summer staff at the Ranch in 2011 where she worked for two summers. In May of 2014 she graduated from Kansas State University (go cats!) with a degree in Organizational Communication Studies and Nonprofit Leadership. In the midst of applying for post-grad jobs God led her to return to camp, but this time working at the Timbers as a Senior Counselor. Following that summer she moved to Columbus, Texas to be part of Pine Cove’s Residency program. Katy loves being crafty, laughing really hard, learning to cook, and all things girly! She’s excited to be back at the Timbers and her desire is that the Lord would use her energy to make His name known.
Around here we have a saying that "Our staff is our program." By this we mean that we place a high standard on whom we hire for our summer staff positions. The activities at camp are fun, the skits will make you laugh, and the music is loud, but it is the staff that will encourage, invest in, and model Jesus for your child. We interview thousands of college students to hire just a few hundred. Our screening process is intense and long, but worth it! We are committed to making sure your child is cared for physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
