Are pets allowed?

No, Pine Cove is a pet-free environment.

How do I sign up for activities?

You will have the opportunity to sign up for most activities Sunday afternoon after you have checked into your room.

Will I need extra money?

Some extra money will come in handy for golf, Coffee Shop (for specialty drinks), and Gift Store items. Also, there is a small charge ($1-$10) for Arts & Crafts projects.

What about medical help/facilities?

Pine Cove has a health center and health staff, as well as an on-site clinic (The Med Shed) for your convenience. We also have a registered nurse for the two Tyler family camps. Trinity Mother Frances Hospital and East Texas Medical Center are located in nearby Tyler.

Do you have towel changes?

Yes, towels will be changed Tuesday and Thursday.

Are laundry facilities available?

Yes, washers and dryers are available for your convenience - just be sure to bring your own detergent. However, we encourage you to pack enough clothing for each family member for the whole week.

Is fishing available?

Yes! It's quite popular and we encourage you to bring your fishing gear. Pine Cove does not provide fishing equipment.

Are there any stores nearby?

Yes. Wal-Mart, Brookshire's Grocery Store, and Broadway Square Mall are only ten to fifteen minutes away.

Can you accommodate children with special needs at family camp?

Yes, in some cases depending on the special need of the child and our staffing capacity in a given week of camp. When you call to register, please let our registration staff know the specifics of your child’s special needs.

Opening and Closing Days

Opening Day

The gates to camp will open Sunday at 3:30 PM sharp. Campers may not check in before 3:30 PM.

Closing Day

Camp sessions end Saturday morning after the breakfast.
