Project 319
We strongly believe that every family and child should be able to come to camp. Why? Because we have seen firsthand thousands of lives changed as they experience God at Pine Cove!
The experiences that many of our campers have at Pine Cove would not be able to happen without scholarships. This year we completed our third year of a special campaign called Project 319. With the need for financial assistance rising we had to work hard to keep pace with the record number of requests we had received this year. We were able to raise funds for well over 2,500 campers, approximately $1.4 million, to come to camp on scholarship and grant us the privilege of telling these kids about their only hope- Jesus Christ!
While we do our best to make camp affordable, not every family and child is able to come on their own. Project 319 benefits families who have lost jobs, been broken by divorce, serve in our military, and a host of other families who for whatever reason need financial assistance.
Our Ministry to Military program is a special fund within Project 319 that has been designed to raise funds so that military families can attend Pine Cove’s camps and conferences free of charge. Many military families come to Pine Cove with no personal relationship with the Lord, yet frequently they leave with the hope of the gospel of Christ.
We receive hundreds of letters each year from thankful scholarship recipients. The average tuition assistance we award for scholarship campers is $319. This year’s economy has been unstable for everyone, but extremely difficult for some. Whether you can give some, all, or more than one camper’s scholarship amount, each gift goes towards the chance of blessing someone to come to Pine Cove and experience Jesus Christ. That truly is an investment for eternity.
