We strongly believe that every family and child should be able to come to camp. Why? Because we have seen firsthand thousands of lives changed as they experience God at Pine Cove!
The experiences that many of our campers have at Pine Cove are made possible with scholarships through our Project 319 program. With the need for financial assistance rising, we work hard to keep pace with the record number of requests we receive each year. To date, we have given $5.5 million over the last five years allowing thousands of campers to come to camp on scholarship. What a privilege to be able to tell these kids about their only hope- Jesus Christ!
While we do our best to make camp affordable, not every child or family is able to come on their own. Project 319 benefits families who have lost jobs, struggled through divorce, serve in our military, and a host of other families who for whatever reason need financial assistance.
Ministry to Military is a special fund within Project 319 that has been designed to raise funds for military families to attend Pine Cove’s camps and conferences. Many military families come to Pine Cove with no personal relationship with the Lord, yet they frequently leave with the hope of the Gospel of Christ.
At Risk students are given the opportunity to attend camp through designated funds within Project 319. These students have the opportunity to attend our overnight and day camps in Tyler and Columbus.
Project 319 originally received its name because the average scholarship awarded in 2009 was $319. We receive hundreds of letters each year from thankful scholarship recipients. This year’s economy has been unstable for everyone, but extremely difficult for some. Whether you can give a portion, all, or more than one camper’s scholarship amount, each gift blesses someone with the opportunity to come to Pine Cove and experience Jesus Christ. That truly is an investment for eternity.
Will you prayerfully consider helping other campers come to camp? For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 877-474-6326.
