Our Philosophy |
| |
We recognize that as a college student, you have
many opportunities each summer in which to invest your life. Let’s
take a minute and explore why Pine Cove could be a great place
for you to be used this summer to bring about Christ-centered change
in another person’s life.
We are serious about our mission. The saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ is the backbone of what we do. |
| |
Our Desire Is... |
| |
1. To know Him and be like Him |
| |
“…to be conformed to the likeness of his
Son” (Romans 8:29) |
| |
2. To love campers with His love |
| |
“May the Lord make your love increase and
overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does
for you.”
(I Thessalonians 3:12) |
| |
3. To make every camper and staff member complete in
Jesus Christ |
| |
“And we proclaim Him admonishing...teaching every
man with all wisdom... that we may present every man complete in
Christ.” (Colossians 1:28) |
| |
We Recognize... |
| |
1. Our power is in Him |
| |
“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened
in order that you may know...his incomparably great power for us
who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,
which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and
seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above
all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that
can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to
come.” (Ephesians 1:18-21) |
| |
2. Our service is for Him |
| |
“Obey your master in everything; and do it, not only when
their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity
of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it
with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since
you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as
a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians
3:22-24) |
| |
3. Our reward is from Him |
| |
(Colossians 3:22-24) |
| |
The End Result |
|
|
| |
1. You will experience an intimacy with
Christ that will change who you are, how you think, and what you
believe is valuable. |
|
|
| |
2. Campers leave knowing
they have value and purpose for living because of Christ. Christianity
becomes more than a religion, it’s a relationship with their
Creator. |
|
|
| |
3. You will develop lifelong relationships with other
staff established through the common bond of service and sacrifice
for God. |
