The Pine Cove Towers is a match made in Heaven for elementary campers entering 2nd – 5th grade. Located in piney East Texas, the Towers is known for a lasting tradition of Jesus-loving counselors, exciting activities, and opportunities to grow in Christ. It doesn’t get more seriously fun than this!
Along with hanging out with incredible counselors, Towers campers ride go karts, shoot BB guns, blob their fellow campers in our giant pool, fly down our Hydroplane waterslide, play with puppies—and more! Seven signs that your child would thrive at summer camp

Andrew “Get Smart” Boshell joined the full-time staff at Pine Cove in 2010 after working for two summers at the Towers. He served at the Bluffs and Timbers camps before becoming the Men's Director of the Woods family camp. Andrew has been the Towers camp director since 2013, and now serves as the Vice President of Youth Camping. He and his wife, Ashley, have four children.
Landon “Rhymes & Dimes” Fink joined Pine Cove full-time staff in 2021 after working four summers at the Shores and graduating from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Youth & Family Ministry. He has previously served as a Site Director for Pine Cove City and the Men’s Director at the Towers before becoming the Boys Camp Director. Landon and his wife, Avery, got married in April of 2023.
Kara “Crashy” Muyia joined Pine Cove full-time in 2023 as the Towers Women’s Director after serving four summers on summer staff. She is from Allen, Texas but found her way to Texas A&M where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. Kara and her husband Emmanuel, got married in December of 2024.
Josiah “Stonk” Domach served four summers on staff with Pine Cove City before graduating from Texas A&M University. He joined the full-time team at the Towers in 2024 as the Men’s Director. Josiah and his wife Madeline, got married in August of 2024.
Bright “Baker Slayfield” Qiu graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Public Relations before going on to complete Pine Cove’s leadership development program, the Forge. Hailing from Norman, Oklahoma, Bright served on summer staff at the Towers and Pine Cove City before joining the full-time Towers team as the Women’s Director in 2025.
The Towers youth camp is located just outside of Tyler, Texas near Lake Palestine. You’ll find us just south of I-20, about 100 miles east of DFW and 100 miles west of Shreveport!

Such a great—and tough—question! As you know, kids grow and mature at different rates, hitting various milestones at different times. We don’t have an online schedule for you to see, as different camps (and even different days) have a tendency to vary a bit. But here’s an idea of the flow of a typical day at youth camp: Flag and quiet time before breakfast, followed by Bible study and a few activities. Then it’s time for lunch, FOB (rest time), and more activities! After some free time, it’s dinner, that evening’s theme night, a snack, Club, and then bedtime. We make sure campers get about 7-8 hours of sleep each night so they’re ready for another full day of camp in the morning!

On March 28th or 29th, you’re invited for an afternoon of meeting Pine Cove staffers, walking the property, seeing the cabins, and getting all of your camp questions answered. Designed with first-time campers and their families in mind, these Preview Days are a great opportunity to step right into camp and see the serious fun for yourself!
