Pine Cove offers partial financial assistance through our scholarship program to prospective campers with financial, spiritual and emotional need. This assistance is available to both individuals and families. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to attend camp. FAQ
Does it cover ALL costs?
No. Scholarships are given based on individual need, and the parent or guardian must pay any portion not covered by scholarship. Occasionally, full scholarships are given in cases of extreme hardship.
Where does the money come from?
Scholarships are made possible through direct donations of individuals and organizations. Scholarship money is not raised from the fees we charge our campers.
Who is eligible?
All prospective campers in financial, spiritual, and emotional need, both individuals and families, are eligible to apply. Campers who have not been given a scholarship to Pine Cove or attended Pine Cove will be considered first. Applicants who have received assistance in the past may be eligible for scholarships. The scholarship program is not available for groups or churches.
Will I get one for sure?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee every request will be granted. Each application is reviewed by our scholarship committee and awards are made based on financial, spiritual and emotional need. Our goal is to award over $1,000,000 in scholarships this year.
Does this form register my children or family for camp?
No. If awarded a scholarship, your registration will only be complete once you’ve accepted the scholarship offer and paid the deposit.
Can I receive a Youth Camp and a Family Camp scholarship within the same summer?
You are only eligible to receive a Youth Camp or a Family Camp Scholarship, but not both in the same summer.
Can my scholarship be applied to a Two-Week Overnight Youth Camp Program?
Yes! However, your scholarship is only able to be applied to one of the two weeks for a two-week session. All Youth Camp Scholarships are only eligible for one week per camper, per summer.
Will I get the week I want?
Unfortunately, there are limited spaces available for scholarship recipients, and we cannot offer a preference date for summer camp. If you are already registered for a specific week of camp, this does not apply.
When are applications due?
There is no due date for summer camp scholarships. Our committee will begin awarding scholarships for the following summer beginning in September. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, so we encourage you to apply early. For conferences, all applications must be submitted 60 days prior to the start of the conference unless we have verbally confirmed otherwise.
