Don’t Bring

As a general rule, if you can’t bring it to school, you shouldn’t bring it to camp.

  • Phones, Tablets, or Other Electronics

Camp is the perfect opportunity for everyone—counselors and campers alike—to get a break from screens! Leaving electronic devices at home allows for campers to get a chance to spend time outdoors, build connections with friends, and experience undistracted moments. But don't worry—you'll be able to use the CampLife App to communicate!

  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco
  • E-cigarettes / Vape Pens
  • Clothing with overtly political or sexual references or drug, alcohol, or tobacco promotion
  • Books / Magazines / eReaders
  • Shaving Cream

You can bring it to shave, but don't bring it for pranks!

  • Fireworks
  • Gum

Packing

Packing meds can bring up a lot of questions, and there are some important state and local regulations we need to follow. We put all the info together into a handy-dandy guide to tell you everything you need to know, including prescription guidelines, leaving OTC meds at home, when meds are given out, and more.

How to Pack Meds

Questions? Find even more answers in our in-depth guide to medication.

All Meds to Nurse

State law mandates that all medication (prescription and OTC) is kept in the health center, so please do not pack meds in suitcases or trunks.

Original Containers

All prescription medications must be in their original containers with current dosage instructions. Pill bottles should only include the amount needed for the session—leave the rest at home! Creams, inhalers, or other boxed items must have a label on them.

Up-to-Date

All medication must be prescribed to the camper. Check the expiration date – all meds must be current!

Leave OTC meds & vitamins home

Save the space! We stock plenty of meds for occasional as needed use. All vitamins require a doctors note. If your camper takes a daily allergy med, please check it in at drop-off.
