The Woods Family Camp is a vacation unlike any other. A week filled with awesome activities, meaningful Bible studies, great food, and being served by our passionate summer staff will leave your family feeling refreshed on a whole new level.

Chris “Broflex” Boddy joined the full-time Pine Cove Staff in 2008 at the Timbers. He spent time with Pine Cove City and then at the Woods as the Director before becoming the Senior Director of the Woods and Vice President of East Texas & Family Camp. Chris grew up in San Antonio, TX, and graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in Business & Bible. He and his wife Sarah, have four kids.
Josh "Prankster's Paradise" Bice served for three summers on staff at the Shores before graduating from the University of Alabama. In 2019 he joined the full-time Pine Cove staff as the Woods Men's Director before transitioning to the role of Woods camp director in 2023. He and his wife Lexus have been married since 2022.
Emmanuel “Cloudy” Muyia spent three summers at the Towers before joining Pine Cove full-time staff as the Woods Men’s Director in 2022. He grew up in College Station and went to college at the University of Arkansas where he graduated with a degree in Marketing. Emmanuel and his wife Kara, got married in December of 2024.
Faith “Funday” Jermstad graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor with a degree in Public Relations before going on to complete Pine Cove’s leadership development program, the Forge. She served on summer staff at the Woods before joining the full-time team as the Women’s Director. Faith was born and raised in Friendswood, Texas.
Maura “Draino” Blanchfield served three summers on staff at the Shores before joining the full-time team at the Woods. Originally from Baton Rogue, she graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Child Family Studies. Maura and her fiancé Levi, are getting married in May of 2025.
In order to help strengthen your faith while having the most fun possible, it’s absolutely necessary that our speakers have tons of faith, have a passion for spreading His Word, and be tons of fun! Which is why we are absolutely thrilled with our line up. We can’t wait for you come to camp and get to know them.

You can find the Pine Cove Woods in beautiful East Texas, just 15 miles south of I-20. Located right outside of Tyler, Texas, we’re just 90 miles from Dallas, 120 miles from Fort Worth, and 100 miles from Shreveport!
Vacations should be relaxing and fun, and at the Woods, you’ll have the perfect opportunity for both! Your family will have time together to dive into enriching Bible studies, laugh together at meals, and experience high-adrenaline thrills at a variety of activities. But there’s also time for Mom and Dad to get away for some adults-only activities like golf and leisurely trail rides while trained Pine Cove counselors make sure your kids are having a blast (or having a nap!). Ed and Amy have worked in various roles both Athletes in Action (the sports ministry of Cru) and Family Life since the 1990s. Amy ministers to athletes at Central State University and serves on the Ultimate Training Camp leadership team. They frequently speak to high school, college, and professional athletes, along with men's/women's groups and churches around the country. Ed has an MA and MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a PhD in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University. He's an author of Away Game: A Christian Parent's Guide to Navigating Youth Sports and Untangling Critical Race Theory: What Christians Need to Know and Why It matters. Amy graduated from Trinity University before joining the campus staff of AIA. Ed and Amy have four children and live in Xenia, OH.
