New Faces on Staff

Over the past few months, we’ve welcomed several new faces to the Pine Cove team! From leading and discipling staff to serving campers and families and supporting the ministry behind the scenes, these team members have already jumped in and begun using their gifts to serve the Pine Cove community. We’re excited to introduce you to the newest members of our team and give you a glimpse into who they are, where they’re from, and what they’re looking forward to in their new roles. Get to know the people who have recently joined the Pine Cove family!

Seth Jones

Chimney Point Men’s Director

Seth “Pops” Jones is from Athens, Georgia, where his family has lived for the past 21 years after his dad moved them there to help plant a church. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Business Management and now lives in his hometown with his new wife, Mackenzie, and their Aussiedoodle, Luckie. Seth and Mackenzie got married in May 2026, just one week after he graduated from college! He is most looking forward to building on the relationships he has already developed with staff and camp families throughout the offseason and into the summer. His go-to free-time snack is Dots Pretzels and Nerd Clusters—“Ain’t nothing better!”

Christina (Tina) Hartmann

Outback Women’s Director 

Christina (Tina) “Speast” Hartmann is from Spring, Texas, and attended Baylor University. Her family has been part of Pine Cove for years, with Tina and her siblings growing up as campers at Pine Cove Bluffs and City! Her camp name is “Speast,” short for “Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Yeast,” a combination of her favorite Taylor Swift album and an embarrassing childhood story involving a swallowed quarter and some bread. Tina is most looking forward to building relationships with staffers throughout the recruiting process and into the summer. Her go-to free-time snack is a Snickers ice cream bar and a Dr Pepper!

Rowe Thompson

Outback Men’s Director 

Rowe “Peanut Butter Baby” Thompson is from Bossier City, Louisiana, and attended LSU. He is most looking forward to discipling, investing in, and encouraging college-aged staffers to follow Jesus more intimately, while working alongside Dexter, Kate, and Tina to serve middle schoolers. Rowe’s go-to free-time snack is a frozen Reese’s and a Diet Coke! 

Zach Sheets

Senior Director of Advancement

Zach “Blast of the Mo Cheekens” Sheets is from Abilene, Texas, and attended Abilene Christian University. He has been married to his wife, Kara, for 22 years, and they have four children: Will, Levi, Trey, and Skye. Zach is most looking forward to sharing the story of how God is moving at Pine Cove, inviting others to experience the joy of giving, and getting to serve alongside the Pine Cove community. His go-to free-time snack at camp is a Shivers Stick, while at home, he enjoys a PB&J on Killer Dave’s Seed Bread with potato chips. 

Kase White

Technical Projects Coordinator

Kase “Optimus Crime” White is from Longview, Texas, and graduated from Oklahoma State University, and is returning to the staff team! He has been married to his wife, Emma, for two years, and they met while working full-time for Pine Cove in the CTX/College Station office. He is most looking forward to serving Pine Cove in a more behind-the-scenes role, problem-solving, and assisting different departments in various ways. His go-to free-time snack is Sour Patch Kids and a blue Gatorade!

Madison Smith

Marketing Campaign Coordinator

Madison “There’s a Snake in My Boo-oo-ooot” Smith is originally from Fort Worth, Texas! She attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and graduated in 2025. Her camp name is “There’s a Snake in My Boo-oo-ooot,” and she goes by Boots. Madison is most looking forward to stepping into her new role and creatively serving campers and their families by answering their questions and helping them experience Pine Cove. Her go-to free-time snack at camp is a Coke and Dibs—a classic! 

Kaitlyn Farnie

Registrar

Kaitlyn “Pukies and Scream” Farnie is from Beaumont, Texas, and is currently studying Family Studies and Human Development online through Lamar University. She will graduate in May and is getting married in November! She is most looking forward to connecting with fellow staff members and serving campers and their families through registration. Her go-to free-time snack is cucumber with lots of salt—she doesn’t really do traditional snacks!
