We’re always excited to see our summer staffers return to camp—but especially this year! Suddenly camp is full again, people are getting named, new staffers are learning cheers, and everyone’s doing their best to stay dry (thank you, Spring rainstorms!). But the main reason they’re here? To get trained! Our first group of staffers to arrive includes lifeguards, photographers, wranglers, and anyone else whose job requires some extra instruction or certification. Check out a few photos and updates from camps across our regions over the past week. You’ll see that the rain couldn’t stop the learning—or the serious fun—from happening!
Towers
B-Slay and the Towers team learned all about the Gauntlet and how to tie the best knots!
Silverado
It’s all good in the NEIGHborhood, where our amazing Silverado wranglers spent the week honing their skills and preparing for campers to arrive!
Outback
Down at the Outback, they’ve been busy preparing for a week of rockin’ theme nights by painting banners for events like "Outback Olympics" and "Wild West!"
Timbers
The certified lifeguards at the Timbers braved cold water and overcast skies to become experts on all aspects of keeping campers safe at the pool!
Ranch
Say cheese, campers! The media team at the Ranch learned all about how to take, upload, and tag awesome photos this week, so they’re ready to make you the star of the CampLife app!
Shores
Name game! Gimme that name, I want that name! New staffers mean lots of new NAMES! Treats and the Shores team sold this counselor’s name in record time: Costume Malfunction Assumption!
Ridge
The staff at the Ridge have been hard at work, training and making sure all our activities—like the wake park—are ready for campers!
Chimney Point
The giant swing needs a giant team that knows how to run it! Check out the Chimney Point staff learning all about it.
Crier Creek
Before the Crier Creek ropes team headed off to train, they warmed up in the dining hall with some Just Dance!
City
It’s almost time to hit the road, so Pine Cove City Teams B,E, I, and J worked tirelessly to pack up our box trucks!
Woods
Rain? We don’t know her! It’s all LIQUID SUNSHINE at the Woods, where a few of their staffers took a training break to play a favorite Pine Cove game: Spikeball!
Bluffs
Knucks, Smash, and the rest of the ropes team at the Bluffs made themselves at home way up in the treetops during their training!
