Staff Trip Highlights

What if you could hang out with all of your camp friends outside of camp? Well, that very thing just happened for some of our summer staffers who went on our 2019 Staff Trips! From cruises to skiing to Dollywood, each of our camps got to spend quality time talking, bonding, and adventuring together.

Pine Cove strives to be three things: Christ-Centered, Others-Focused, and Seriously Fun! These trips were jam-packed with all of three of those things. Some of the trips were service based, while others were good old fashioned hang outs, but all of them were seriously fun!

At camp one of the phrases we like to say is “shared experience builds trust.” Our summer staff have the opportunity to do ministry together over the summer months, which builds strong and lasting relationships with one another. Having another opportunity halfway through the school year to come alongside each other and encourage each other is refreshing for our summer staffers and for us!

Bonheoffer says this about community: “Christian community is like the Christian’s sanctification. It is a gift of God which we cannot claim. Only God knows the real state of our fellowship… The more thankfully we daily receive what is given to us, the more surely and steadily will fellowship increase and grow from day to day as God pleases.”

We are thankful for the opportunity to come together and encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ. Looking back on memories from camp and looking forward to what lies ahead, we praise God for good friends, for His saving grace and for the community that He brings.
