Families!
Summer is almost here, and we are so excited to welcome you through the gates at camp very soon! We are praying for your family as you finish out the school year, step into summer, and prepare for an incredible week at Pine Cove. Our teams are already hard at work preparing camp, staff, and programming for another Christ-centered, others-focused, and seriously fun summer.
This summer at our family camps, we’ll be walking through a devotional centered on what it looks like to live in God’s upside-down Kingdom. One of the greatest questions we can ask is: What is the purpose of life, and how can I use my time to the fullest?
We all know life is short. In a world that constantly tells us to put ourselves first, chase success, and build our own kingdom, it can be easy to live with ourselves at the center. Left to our own ways, we naturally drift toward self-promotion, self-preservation, and living for our own glory. But while that way of living may seem natural, it often leaves us exhausted, anxious, and unfulfilled.
The good news is that Jesus gives us a completely different way to live. Through His life, teaching, and example, Jesus shows us what true life actually looks like—not a life centered on self, but one centered on God. When we place Him on the throne instead of ourselves, our perspective changes. We begin to live lives marked by love, service, humility, generosity, and joy.
Throughout the week, families will explore the Beatitudes together and study the blueprint Jesus gives us for life in His upside-down Kingdom:
Monday – Blessed are the Poor in Spirit
Tuesday – Blessed are Those Who Mourn
Wednesday – Blessed are the Meek
Thursday – Blessed are Those Who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness
Friday – Blessed are the Merciful
As your family spends the week learning from God’s Word together, our prayer is that the Lord would shape your hearts, deepen your relationships with God and with each other, and help you see what true life in Christ really looks like. We can’t wait for a summer full of fun new memories, meaningful conversations, and life transformation through the Gospel. See you soon!
