“Here is where I lay it down
Every burden, every crown
This is my surrender
This is my surrender”
What’s up, friends!

There are a few ways we can have confidence that we truly know the living God. One of the sweetest ways to take inventory of our faith is by looking at how we obey.
“Whoever says, ‘I know him’ but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him.” 1 John 2:4–5
Obedience means hearing God’s Word and acting accordingly.
Are you walking in obedience to Jesus?
Obedience isn’t a requirement for salvation—it’s a result of it. It’s not about perfection, but about the direction of our hearts. When we trust that God has both the power and love to save us, we respond with obedience.
Think of the Christian life like a class you’re enrolled in. At the start of a semester, the teacher gives a syllabus with instructions for success. You can memorize it, talk about it, and even impress others with what you know—but if you don’t follow it, you won’t succeed. The same is true of faith.
God has given us His “syllabus for life”—the God-breathed Word. It’s not just meant to be read or discussed, but lived out. When we obey, we experience the good life He intends for us.
“But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres… he will be blessed in his doing.” James 1:25
