What’s New at the Woods!

The Woods is nearing its 60th birthday, so it was time to make some much-needed improvements to this much-loved camp! In addition to a new covered sports court and field house, we were able to transform our existing pavilion into an adventure center! If you’re asking yourself, “Self, what’s an adventure center?”, that’s actually a very reasonable question. Keep reading to find out! 

The Woods adventure center is a doorway to, well—ADVENTURE! Walk through this (mostly) open air building and you’ll find yourself facing the lake, which is now home to not only our new double zip line, but also our super slick new water slides! While you’re waiting for your turn, this new space is now the coolest place at camp to hang out! With breezeways, lots of covered seating spaces, and a snack shop window, campers will find no shortage of ways to pass the time. 

Not far away from the adventure center, you’ll also find the new field house! This indoor sports haven is an awesome multipurpose space for kids programs and Impact campers alike. The turf keeps things super sporty, and the AC is a cool gift from the Lord!

We are so blessed to have these incredible new buildings and activities on camp property. Most importantly, though, these new elements will help facilitate deep connections and conversations that point back to Jesus! We can’t wait to continue to use them to strengthen relationships and point campers back to the Lord.
