MomCamp 2017

Moms at the ropes course

A conference just for MOMS?! Yep, MomCamp is all about moms and their relationship with the Lord… while getting to enjoy the best parts of camp! We had more than 250 moms at the Shores and Bluffs this past April for a jam-packed weekend!

The best part about the weekend was the life-change that we got to witness. Six women said they put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior! Praise the Lord for His work in their lives! Each year we are blown away by what God does in and through this weekend event.

Our emcees were Tracey Eyster, the founder of MomCamp, and Jordy Barksdale, an annual favorite of the attendees. Tracey has always wanted this to be a weekend for women to connect with other mothers going through similar stages, do fun camp activities, and ultimately fall deeper in love with Jesus. On Sunday morning, she shared what God has been teaching her and I doubt there was a dry eye in the room. We’re so grateful for her passion for Jesus and ministry to women!

This year our keynote speaker was Shellie Rushing Tomlinson, who dubs herself “The Belle of All Things Southern.” She made us laugh until we cried as she told the most interesting stories, all with a deeper spiritual truth at the core. It was a blessing to hear from her as she spoke from God’s Word! Please enjoy these audio recordings from the conference:

We again had the pleasure of Jami Smith and her band leading us in worship throughout the weekend. She humbly led us to sing praises to the Lord while connecting well with the women as she herself is a mom. The ladies loved when her young daughter joined her on stage to sing a song!

Moms who come to this conference love the worship and large group sessions, but they also love the camp experience. The zip line, massages, and horseback rides are some favorite activities every year. This year, we also offered the two-person swing at the Bluffs and a Bible journaling session. Here are some photos from the different activities.

Saturday morning, we offered optional breakout sessions about specific topics that would interest moms in various stages of life. Here are the audio clips from those sessions:

We had a blast this year, and we’re so excited for next year’s MomCamp, which will take place April 20 – 22! Hope to see you there!
