Welcome to your family’s guide to winter fun at home! Inspired by the serious fun of camp, we’re here to bring laughter, creativity, and meaningful moments to even the chilliest of days. Think dance parties in the living room, skit nights with unexpected plot twists, and purpose-filled projects that make everyone feel connected. These ideas aren’t about perfection—they’re about showing up, having fun, and making memories that matter. So, grab your family, put on some cozy socks, and let’s turn these cold winter days into warm, joy-filled ones!

1. Indoor Campfire & Storytelling (with a Twist!)

Create a cozy “campfire” in your living room using blankets, pillows, and twinkle lights. Take turns telling silly and adventurous stories! When one person is done, the next family member will add to the story with a new character or plot twist!
What else goes perfectly with a campfire? S’mores and singing! Let each family member pick one song for the group to sing and make the night even sweeter with s’mores or your family’s favorite treats.

2. Skit-a-Palooza

Put on a family skit night! Use silly costumes, props from around the house, and a whole lot of imagination. Film the skit to watch later or share with friends and grandparents! Need some inspiration? Check out our Skit Spotlight from this summer!

3. Winter Olympics: Family Edition

Turn your living room into a fun competition zone! Try out Sock Slide Curling (slide socks into a “target” on the floor), Blanket Sled Races (pull each other on blankets), or Bible Verse Relay (run across the room to put Bible verse cards in order). End with a silly awards ceremony fashioned with homemade medals!

4. Dance Party!

Get those bodies moving with a family dance party! Pick out a theme and use our Ultimate Pine Cove Playlist to get you on your feet. Need some dance guidance? Try following along to a Just Dance video on YouTube!

5. Serve Together

It’s true that it’s better to give than receive, so make an icy day meaningful by serving others together! Create blessing bags for your local shelter or write encouraging letters to grandparents, neighbors, or church members!

6. Baking & Blessings

Get in the kitchen for some family baking fun! Make cookies, hot cocoa, or one of our favorite cozy recipes from the Crier Creek Cookbook! Deliver treats to neighbors or friends with an encouraging note.

7. Indoor Snowball Fight

Bring the snowball fight indoors! Use soft, squishy balls or rolled-up socks as “snowballs,” create teams, and build forts around the house to create safe zones!

However you end up spending your winter days, we’re praying that the mundane would turn into meaningful and that you’d be able to look back on this season with joy!
