‘Tis the season to accomplish some goals! January is in full swing, so we asked our staff what their favorite fitness accessories are to help keep them on track. Add some of these to your cart or to your phone’s home screen and make this year a strong one!

I am LOVING my Bala Bangles that I got for Christmas! They’re weights for your ankles or wrists that are so cute and compact! They have lots of colors and a few different weight options. I wear them mainly when on walks, but you can wear them at any time! I also got a walking pad for Christmas for under my desk and I’m obsessed with it! It’s a good way to get steps in during the day and stay focused! – Remedy “Bo-V” Applegate, Ranch Women’s Director

My favorite accessory is wrist straps for pulling movements, especially on days when I’m focused on strengthening my back. I use them because I have other days dedicated to arms, and so when I do back movements I want to really isolate the back when doing rows or pull downs and not have to use my arms or grip strength as much. – Drake “OJ Drift” Carson, Cloud Platform Administrator

I use the app “Fitbod” to help give me programming for weekly weight lifting! There’s a monthly subscription fee, but it’s not expensive. They help program different lifting routines for you, as well as show you how to safely do the movements. I’ve used it for the past year and I really like it! – Conor “Flow” Barry, Ridge Director

Whether going for a walk or a jog, I’ve loved getting to use the app Charity Miles! It tracks your mileage and then partners with sponsor companies to send donations to a charity of your choice for every mile you make. It’s such a fun, simple, and easy way to serve others while doing something you’d already be doing anyways! Literally so easy and so worthwhile! – Hope “Slips” McGlothlin, Towers Barn Manager

I love my athletic watch! It is a Garmin Forerunner 735XT. I got it because it can record running, biking, and swimming. It also has a triathlon setting to record all three. The Garmin Connect app is super helpful because it syncs automatically with my watch to give me exercise, steps, and heart rate data. – Daniel “Gigabite” David, Business Analyst

I regularly sing the praises of the Gymbook App for weightlifting. It’s easy to use (especially with an Apple Watch) and lets you set your entire workout up ahead of time so all you have to do is show up and log as you go. So helpful! Jesse “Schmoe” Garner, Senior Director of Engagement

A couple of summers ago, a mom of one of my campers gifted me a pair of Feetures socks to “run the race set before me” well. I had just gotten into running and had no idea how much of a difference good socks make! Even after years of running in them and multiple races, they hold up incredibly well—I have never had any blisters, hot spots, or lost toenails (IYKYK). – Claire “Beeps” Anderson, Retail Operations Coordinator

My roommate just got a pair of these gloves, and if you are running in the winter, you are going to want to keep your hands WARM! Also, the Saucony Endorphins will be the only shoe that I run in from now on! They have different versions depending on the kind of run, so you can train and race in the same style shoe! You can also get 400 miles out of them easily. – Parker “Boomer” Shinsky, Communications Project Coordinator

I really love the app Strava. It’s specifically for running. It shows me my stats and keeps me connected to my other running buddies. – JD “Rambus” Moore, Ranch Camp Director

I’m a big fan of the Garmin Forerunner255 watch! It has a bunch of helpful features for running. – Matt “Best Cow” Williams, City Team Legacy Site Director

I love the app called “MyFitnessPal.” It helps you track your meals so that you can count your macronutrients for each meal! I am a sucker for my Hokas whenever I want to go on a run. But nothing in this world (from a fitness standpoint) is as valuable to me as a 170 degree SAUNA. – David “Doe” VanderSteeg, Director of City, Southeast

Working out is my fave, and this is my gym bag! It’s made of great material and useful for when you need to bring your change of shoes/clothes and toiletries. It’s ideal for people who work out and go straight to/from work. – Faith “Tumbledore” Banford, Media Specialist

I love my Garmin and Strava! Strava is basically social media for working out! I can post my workouts and see other people’s too! – Gracie “Hokalate Hip” Read, Timbers Administrative Director
