This month, we’re diving into our team’s favorite podcasts! Whether you’re looking for thought-provoking conversations on faith or something fun and lighthearted, our staff has you covered.
Some of my favorite faith-based podcasts are “With the Perrys,” “Ask Pastor John,” “The Elisabeth Elliot Podcast,” and the Austin Stone sermons! I also love “On Fire,” a recap podcast about Survivor. – Rebecca “Deemer” Smith, Senior Director of Pine Cove City Texas
I’ve been really into true crime podcasts recently! I love “Murder with My Husband,” because it offers great storytelling, empathy toward those in the story, and it never gets too detailed. I also was introduced to “Gone South” recently and I’ve enjoyed it. It focuses on stories in Louisiana that pull you in, and you get to hear many different viewpoints. I’m also doing the Bible Recap reading plan. I love the podcast that goes with it! – Alyssa “Flee-On-Huh?” Andreone, Staff Support Generalist
The one podcast I listen to with consistency is “The Briefing” by Albert Mohler. He is so knowledgeable and helps you think through news and events from the Christian perspective. – Rob “Change Up” Harris, CPA, Senior Director of Finance & Accounting
My top podcasts are “Becoming Something” with Jonathan Pokluda, “The Briefing” with Albert Mohler, Craig Groeschel’s Leadership Podcast, “Rule of Life” by Practicing the Way, and my kids like the VeggieTales Podcast. – JD “Rambus” Moore, Ranch Camp Director
My favorite is “The Elisabeth Elliot Podcast!” She’s a huge spiritual hero of mine, and it is really impactful to be able to actually hear her teaching. I love listening to her podcast when I go on walks and soaking in all of the biblical wisdom she has! – Bright “Baker Slayfield” Qiu, Pine Cove City Intern
“Culture Matters” is a podcast I’ve been listening to more and more lately, thanks to Marshall Wallace! It’s thoughtful conversations around the intersection of faith and culture—everything from politics, art, entertainment, family, etc. They have new guests often to talk about whatever their specific topic is. I really enjoyed it and how it has given me an opportunity to be a more thoughtful and empathetic follower of Jesus! – Conor “Flow” Barry, Ridge Camp Director
“The Briefing” by Albert Mohler is my favorite! It’s super helpful biblical commentary on cultural moments going on right now. It’s way easier than watching the news! – Alex “Licks” Barnholdt, Crier Creek Men’s Director
“The Broadway Shuffle: A Texas Tech Sports Podcast” is one of my favorites. I listen to it every Monday and Thursday religiously! As an alum, I love all things Texas Tech and Tech sports! They are also some former fraternity brothers, so I love to support friends in whatever they are doing! A close second would be “More Than Roommates,” a marriage podcast from the marriage ministry of Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco! This one has been a favorite of my wife Reagan and I. We feel so encouraged to be intentional in our marriage every time we listen. They are always sharing Biblical truth and new ways to spend time in fun and unique ways. It has definitely blessed our marriage. – Jake “Groove Operator” Boyd, Maintenance Technician
I’m really into “The Office Ladies” podcast! It’s awesome. It’s hosted by Pam and Angela from “The Office,” and they break down each episode. – Kat “Chief” McDaniel, Executive Assistant to ETX LEadership
GoKidGo’s Snoop and Sniffy podcast has been a fun listen for the whole family on the way to school. These two detective dogs live on Bark Street and solve mysteries with the help of a rotating cast of other animals. We laugh and try to solve the mystery as the story unfolds. – Jesse “Schmoe” Garner, Senior Director of Camper Engagement
