Surf and Turf: New Field at the Shores!

If you’ve ever been to the Shores, you know one of its best features is the beautiful seawall (and view) along Lake Palestine. In the name alone, you expect some shoreline. But ladies and gentlemen, we are so excited to reveal that the Shores now has some turf to go with that surf! Check out the newest addition to Shores activity classes! 

Sitting at the heart of camp, this field has become the spot to be! Nestled between the recently relocated camp store and the pool (“Big Blue, Big Blue, Big Blue”), it is the perfect spot to watch the boats, the senior soccer game, or the blob contests—or even for a pick-up game of mini soccer. 

This space is also used for activity classes as it hosts archery tag, spike ball, cornhole, and more! With a lower turf area filled with picnic tables and colorful umbrellas, it’s been the spot to go for counselor hangtimes! 

Needless to say, it’s incredible and we love it!
