One of our favorite parts of the day at overnight youth camp is cabin Bible study time. The time of day this happens varies from camp to camp, but the idea remains consistent. Every camper gets a Bible study booklet written by camp staff, and the cabin discusses the day’s passage and group questions together.

It’s a great place for campers to keep their notes together from the week, and go home with something tangible. Oftentimes the talks at Club each night will complement the cabin Bible studies, so everything is within a similar theme for the week.

Here’s what each camp is planning to study in their Bible studies this summer:

Silverado:

This year’s study will give campers a story to understand the Parable of the Sower, and also dig into the Christian narrative of the fall, redemption, and restoration.

Outback:

The theme is “Made New,” and this will be a study through the book of 1 Peter. Specifically, they’ll be looking at how God gives us a new identity and a new life in Christ that is better than anything else!

Ridge:

The Ridge is studying the book of Colossians this summer, and the hope is to better understand that there is no other who is like our God.

Towers:

The title of the study is “I Am,” and it will focus on the character and nature of God. Then at Club each night, we will look at how God’s character impacts our identity as believers in Christ.

Ranch:

This year’s study is called “Foundation,” and will focus on putting our trust in the only firm Foundation (Jesus!) to be able to stand through anything we experience in life.

Timbers:

The Timbers will be studying the book of Galatians! It is for freedom Christ has set us free, and they will be learning about what that means for our everyday lives.

Shores:

The Shores will be studying the Sermon on the Mount, and looking into what it really means to repent and seek after the Kingdom!

We can’t wait for summer to get here, and we can’t wait to have campers of all ages studying the Word together!
