Camp in the City at Fellowship of the Parks

Fellowship of the Parks

In 2010, Pine Cove started a traveling day camp that partnered with churches to bring a high-energy program to neighborhoods across the South.

One of Base Camp’s (now Camp in the City) original partners was Fellowship of the Parks in Keller, Texas.

We began our partnership with FOTP because their mission aligns directly with the mission of Pine Cove. We sought out churches that are passionate about the gospel of Jesus being proclaimed in their church and in the community.

The Lord has blessed FOTP with a staff that believes in that mission and He strategically placed them in a developing community that is overflowing with families.

“We believe Jesus Christ is the way to God, the Bible is true and relevant for today, and following Christ is simply the best way to live,” says Shannon McMahon, Children’s Pastor.

Upon visiting FOTP, you can’t help but notice the transforming work of Jesus Christ in the lives of its members.

Celebrating changed lives is a part of the culture. There are stories of people who are transformed from being afraid, ashamed and alone to being connected, loved and restored. There are stories of marriages being reconciled, families being reunited, and people finding their significance.

Camp in the City will be at FOTP for the 5th time this summer!

We partner directly with their children’s ministry in an attempt to serve as an outreach tool for them to reach out to families in the area with 1st-6th graders.

One of the reasons we love partnering with them is that they are passionate about outreach. Shannon and her team understand that we want to join them in reaching out to their community and hopefully pointing people who don’t have a church body to an authentic body of believers.

“Partnering with Pine Cove gives us one more opportunity to share Christ’s love with kids and families in our community!”
-Shannon McMahon, Children’s Director

In their kid’s ministry, year-round, they offer a dynamic children’s program called Kids Inc. The goal is to help kids discover, understand and apply God’s Word in creative, active ways that will capture their attention and keep them coming back each week.

At Pine Cove, we are grateful to partner with a church like Fellowship of the Parks.

If you live in the Keller, Grapevine, Haslet area and you don’t have a church home, we encourage you to try it out!
