New 2025 Program Staffers

We’re thrilled to welcome the newest members of our Pine Cove program staff! Coming from near and far, they’re joining our teams at Towers, Timbers, Ridge, Silverado, Springs, and Chimney Point. Get ready to hear what they’re most excited about, discover where they were before Pine Cove, and see their heart for sharing the Gospel with both campers and fellow staff. We can’t wait for you to get to know them!

Bright Qiu

Tower’s Women’s Director
Bright “Baker Slayfield” Qiu graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Public Relations before going on to complete Pine Cove’s leadership development program, the Forge. Hailing from Norman, Oklahoma, Bright served on summer staff at the Towers and Pine Cove City before joining the full-time Towers team as the Women’s Director in 2025.

Bright is most excited about having a front row seat to the life transformation of both campers and college students through the work the Lord does through Pine Cove. She’s also excited to invest in college girls in their pursuit of the Lord!

Tess Wilson

Timbers Women’s Director
Tess “Flee” Wilson serves as the Women’s Director for the Timbers. She graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Theatre Performance and Psychology and served five summers on staff before joining the full-time Pine Cove City team in 2024. She transitioned to her current role at the Timbers in 2025.

Tess is most excited to get to learn a new ministry at Pine Cove! She is a former City site director, so the ins and outs of a camp day might look pretty different, but she knows the heart of the ministry is the same! She has had a joy-filled experience getting to meet new staff and learn a new team culture so far, and is really thankful to be a part of the Timbers team!

Avery Davis

Ridge Women’s Director
Avery “Chicken Joe” Davis served on summer staff for four summers at the Bluffs before graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Leadership Studies. She is originally from Magnolia, Texas and joined the full-time team at the Ridge in 2025 as the Women’s Director.

We couldn’t be happier to welcome Avery to the team, and we’re confident she’s going to make an incredible difference!

Sophie Norvell

Ridge Women’s Director
Sophie “Spaghetti Milk” Norvell graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Business Management before going on to complete Pine Cove’s leadership development program, the Forge. Hailing from Amarillo, Texas, Sophie served on summer staff at the Ranch and Springs before joining the full-time Ridge team as the Women’s Director in 2025.

Sophie is excited to rely fully on the Lord as she walks alongside girls learning to live under His holiness and grace. She is eager to invite others into the abundant freedom God provides through serving and seeking Him in camp ministry.

AJ Ward

Silverado Men’s Director
AJ “Swaggy G” Ward graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Exercise Science. He served on summer staff for four summers at Silverado and completed Pine Cove’s leadership program, the Forge. He is originally from Norman, Oklahoma and joined the full-time team at Silverado in 2025 as the Men’s Director.

We’re so excited to have AJ on board, and know he will serve as an incredible resource for Silverado campers and staffers alike!

Kate Burns

Springs Women’s Director
Kate “Jiggy” Burns served on summer staff for four summers at the Springs and graduated from Clemson University with degrees in Spanish and Health Science. She is originally from Greenville, South Carolina and joined the full-time team at the Springs in 2025 as the Women’s Director.

Kate is excited to walk alongside college students as they grow in their relationships with God. She looks forward to seeing how the Lord weaves intentional stories through recruiting and into summer 2026, displaying His goodness and grace as staffers experience more of Him.

Seth Jones

Chimney Point Men’s Director
Seth “Pops” Jones served on summer staff for two summers at Chimney Point and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Business Management. Originally from Athens, Georgia, Seth joined the full-time team at Chimney Point in 2025 as the Men’s Director.

Seth is excited to walk with college students as they point families to Christ through Pine Cove’s ministry. He looks forward to witnessing true life change in parents, staff, and campers as they come together as the body of Christ, all while having the time of his life working at camp!

Mackenzie Stover

Chimney Point Women’s Director
Last but not least, Mackenzie “Chica” Stover serves as the Women’s Director for Chimney Point. She graduated from Samford University with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences and served two summers before joining the full-time team in 2025.

Mackenzie is eager to walk alongside women as they grow in their love for Jesus, hear their stories, and encourage them to use those stories for the Gospel. She looks forward to witnessing families pursue reconciliation and to being a voice of truth and light for campers and staff, helping them encounter the transformative joy and power of Christ.
